1Peter 3:18 -But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
The mature Christian is one who gives all to Christ (denies self -Luke 9:23) and takes up his cross daily (willing to be pruned (John 15:2b) as he learns to see Christ in every pain and trial (Matt. 11:29). He learns to be content in whatever state he is in because he knows that he died with Jesus Christ. (Gal.2:20; Phil.4:11; 1John 4:18) He knows that there is nothing good within him and that it is Christ’s Life that is flowing with love, joy, peace, sorrow for others, and all the fruit of the Spirit. (Galatians 5:22-25; John 4:14, 6:35) . . . Without Jesus we can do nothing. (John 15:25b)
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? 20. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.
2 Corinthians 3:17 -Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. 18. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
